English Language Challenges.

Since I was younger I like so much English, in fact I think this is the best subject. In my opinion, the English is very important because this language is used in all the world. Every time this language is more taught  in different institution, from the lowest level to the highest.

Now, in the university I've had four levels of English and I' ve learnt a lot.

In this university, I still love this subject, I think that through the techniques used by teachers, the students really learn or improve their English. I agree with the "blogs", videos and discussions in class. I think what we need most students is to practice speaking the language, because it is more difficult to speak in English that write.

Personally, my weakness in the language is the pronunciation and fluency in speaking, I think this is what I need to improve. To exercise this aspect, I want to taking an English course next year to really learn the language. Also, personally I will practice listening to English conversations, listening to music and watching movies in English. This also will help me to learn more vocabulary, which is another aspect that I should improve.

Outside the English classes I don't use much the language, I see movies or listen to music in English but I not put into practice as often. The times when I practise English are with my girlfriend, because she is studying English at a institute and we study together. I must admit that it helps me a lot to improve the language.

I want to thank the English teacher for his help and disposition with the course. By the techniques he uses to teach us because although we take a long time, personally I have served a lot to improve the English. I hope to continue learning English, as I said is a very important language and I want to leave the university speaking English. It is a great defiance, but I'll do my best and I'll do my best to be a public administrator who speaks English.

My future job.

In the future I would like to work in a ministry. I like the social development ministry and I want to be the minister of social development.
I'm studying public administration at the University of Chile and in the future I will be a public administrator but I would like to work in a ministry, in fact I think this is the best career for educate to the professionals that will be the leaders of Chile.
Thanks to this career I decided to be a public servant and work in a ministry in the future.
I like work for the people, I think with this job I can make changes in the society. In my opinion, Chile needs improve in terms of poverty and inequality and I want to work for help to the poorest.
Really, Chile need professionals that work for the common good and I want contribute with this objective.
For to be minister of social development is needs a lot of characteristics like probity, altruism, responsibility and transparency. I think I have all the characteristics for be a minister.
My strengths are be a responsible and altruism person, my weakness is only my tardiness but I'm working for improve this.
The money or salary isn't as important to me, what I care about is my vocation. Besides, I hope to work in a good atmosphere and have reasonable hours of work. Furthermore, I hope to have reasonable time for share with my family because I think they are a fundamental support in my life. I want to be the best minister and public administration of the country.
I really hope to be a minister of social development in the future!
      

Money and advertising.

Honestly, I consider myself a simple person and don't a consumer's person. There isn't denying that today, we live in a world steeped in capitalism and this makes us people who need to consume in an unbalanced way, going beyond the basic needs.

However, I don't follow this trend. I know very well manage my money, I buy what I need and I am a very thrifty. Usually I buy in business near my home. I also go to the mall or supermarkets but this I don't constantly.

Personally, I respect the marketing and advertising but I disagree with that try to impose things or force to the people to think in a certain way. An example of marketing and advertising are cigarettes and alcohol, with respect to these issues I disagree because don't point to a healthy life. I disagree with that will spread the consumption of these elements that threaten the lives of people, I think it would be optimal to disseminate campaigns in contrary of cigar and alcohol.

As I mentioned earlier, I am not a consumer and I will not pretend to be never . I know what I have and what I can spend, therefore, the consumerism don't go with me.

I think this consumerism has been established by the capitalist economic system, and that through marketing and advertising, are induce people to act and think in a certain way. Finally, I think the only way to end consumerism is to reform the economic system. Is necessary a good economy for all the people !!!

How Green I'am?

Currently, the planet is in danger because the people don't care our environment and don't exist a preoccupation for practise techniques of recycling.
Exist places where the people can learn about environmentally friendly practices like the school, there the teachers show to the students  about how care the planet and practise recycling.
Exist others places for learn about this like social organizations (ONG'S, Scout Groups, Churches, etc). In this places, the people can learn through of the action and apply this teachings in the society.
Personally, I'm Scout and thanks to this I can learn a lot of techniques for apply in the camps and in my everyday life. I care about the environment and I tray recycle separating the garbage for deposit in the container of the supermarkets. I care the light and water in my house and teach to my family to care the planet. I prefer ride in bike because the cars pollute a lot. 
The carbon footprint quantifies gas emissions as burning fuels and organic waste degradation caused directly or indirectly by a company, person, or event during the life cycle of a product.
I want to help to the planet and I have the disposition for reduce my carbon footprint. For achieve this I tray don't using aerosols, don't littering the street and definitely change the car for the bike.
Santiago is weak in terms of environmental care, are needs effective public policies that penalize the contamination of companies and individuals. Moreover, public policies are needed to encourage the care of the planet. I am committed to the environment and I am green.

My Story.

The last weekend I went with my girlfriend to the San Cristobal Hill. We toured all the hill. We arrived at 10 AM and first we went to zoo, there we knew a lot of animals, like the elephant, the tiger, the lion, the giraffe, the zebra, the monkeys, etc. This was very funny, we did not know to all the animals and we took photographs to everything.

Then at 2 PM we went to have lunch to a restaurant in the hill, the food was very delicious and we really ate a lot. At 3 PM we decided go to the statue of the virgin, this was really hard;we walked a lot to get there. In this place were many people took photographs and sharing with the virgin.

After, at 5 PM we went down the hill to visit the Japanese garden, but this was very small although was a beautiful place. There were many people selling Japanese elements, we bought calligraphies with our names. The Japanese culture is very funny and interesting, we learned a lot.

Soat 7 PM we found a park called “Mapulemu”.This park was biggest, there were some trees and this is a thematic park, where there are several areas of our country and its flora respective. We knew species like the espino, the canelo, the raulì, the pino, the litre, the quillay, etc. We took a lot of photographs. In this park weremany people enjoying the weekend, the families sharing together, the children played happily and  everyone was worried of the fun.

Suddenly arrived a man dressed as a magician, he began to tell a story and all the people listened him. Everything was ok but in a moment the man dressed a magician started to transform the things. ¡All changed! The land became in water, the grass became in sand, the trees became in rocks, and magically, we were on the beach. Really we could not believe it. Then, everything was becoming in sand, now we were in the driest desert in the world. We did not know if it was an illusion or reality, the truth is that were all the people around us and continued the magician disguised man still telling their stories. Thinking that this was a dream, we decided to close his eyes, and when we opened the eyes, ¡we were in the jungle! We could feel the wet and we could see many animals that passed by our side, but they could not see us. We begin to feel fear; we not knew what to do. Then we close our eyes again with conviction and now we were at the park "Mapulemu" where this kind of journey began. In return, we started asking people for what had happened, nobody understood what we were talking and we were treated to crazies. When we went to talk to the magician, he told us that this was a secret and we should never reveal. Then, we left the place, thinking that this was amazing and we will never forget it.

Article of newspaper.

"Child poverty"

This article was took of a online newspaper called "Guardian". The article is about the child poverty in U.K and the treatment of the government with this problem.
This news was written on Thursday 15 November by Alison Garnham. 
The principal problem is that the government don't apply laws in protection of the poor. The Institute for Fiscal Studies projects predicted that in 2015, 300.000 more children will be living in poverty. Besides, this problem have been cause for Swingeing cuts to tax credits, a three-year freeze in child benefit, uprating out-of-work benefits using CPI rather than the more generous RPI – all will conspire to impoverish vulnerable families over the course of this parliament.
The central point in this news is that a survey isn't enough for improve the poverty in U.K, it's necessary that the government make and take effective measures for help to the people.

While the economy remains stable, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.The economy of U.K increase but the companies get richer, not the persons that need it. This problem happen in Chile too and it is essential that the Government do something

I think this problem belong to my career because the public administration must watch over for the common good.

Sports and health.

I like a lot of sports! When I was younger  I didn't practice more sport but actually I like so much different kind of sports. 
I like the sports in team, like football, basketball, volleyball, rugby and handball. 
Now I practice basketball, this is my favourite sport. I belong to selection of public administration in the university of Chile. I practice basketball often, every Monday and Friday I have training.
Also I like football, I belong to a team of my career called "Bin Laden Boys F.C". The football is a passion for me, I like to watch football with my friends because I can share and encourage to my team that is the university of Chile.
Really I'm a sports fun, I like so much go to the stadium with my friends, I feel happy when the university of Chile win the match.
The benefit of the practise sport is have a healthy life and the benefit of watch sports is share and enjoy with the people.
Don't exist disadvantages for practise sports but the disadvantage of go to the stadium, for example, is the delinquency.   
I think that the people in Chile enjoy of the sports, mainly with the Chilean selection. This is a special instance for celebrate. For example, Go to the stadium, make roasts and go to different pubs or restaurants.

My best Holidays.

My best holidays was in Chiloé. I’m a scout and I travel around different places. In the year 2010, I visited this place with my friends of my scout group. I went to the beach and rivers, the forests and the national park of Chiloé. We visited Ancud, Castro, Dalcahue and Cucao, and in all these places we slept in tents. This isn’t comfortable but we love it. 

We took photographs, heard stories of the place, played under the rain and slept looking at the stars.   

The food is delicious in Chiloé, we ate “curanto” with “chapalele” and the “milcao” was sensational.

Since I was little I have dreamt of visiting Chiloé. This is a mystic place. The wonderful landscape and the wildlife are very beautiful. I love the churches and museums of Chiloé. Besides, this place has a lot of myths and legends. I like this so much.

I will never forget this trip, I could share with my friends and I knew a wonder of Chile. I recommend visiting Chiloé. The people can know a lot of beautiful and attractive places.

I hope that the people take interest for Chiloé, this is the best place of Chile. 

The country I would like to visit!

I would like to visit France. This is the country of the art and the love. This country is interesting for me because I like its history, for example a event very important like the French revolution in 1789.
I like a lot of cities of France like Paris, La Rochela and Niza. I would like to know the Eiffel tower and I would like to take a lot of photographs there.
I know a few about France, some cities and principal places, but this is enough for to want to visit this country.
In France I would like to do a lot of things for example, I want to go to different museums, restaurants, monuments and towers. I would like to go to the urban sectors and rural sectors. I wish to go to my friends for know this beautiful country and enjoy of the traditions and parties of this place.
I would like to visit this country because I want to study in "sciences po", this is the best institution of public administration in the world.
I wouldn't work in France I just want to go for enjoy my vacations, I don`t want to live there.
I really want to visit France in the future, I hope be there some day!

Good and bad points

In my first term I learned a lot! My subjects was Microeconomics, English three, Theory of science, Administration Theory, Applied Statistics and Administrative Law. My favourite subject was Administration Theory, this subject is important for my career because like public administrations we need know about administration. Besides this subject was fun and the teacher was excellent. 

In my free time I trained basketball in the team of public administration of the university of Chile. Also, I worked in the supermarket like packer and I belonged to a scout group where I was leader. Really I didn't have problems, some subjects were difficult but I studied a lot and I passed all my subjects. 

I'm happy studying public administration, I think this is a fun career and the people can learn a lot and in the future work for the common good.
I recommend studying public administration, the university of Chile is the best.

My Favorite Movie.

My favorite Movie is "Saw". The protagonist is Tobin Bell, in the movie he is named John Kramer (Jisaw). He was born on 1942 in New York. Actually He is 69 years old and He is a film actor and TV actor too.

In the movie, Jisaw is a old man. He is a engineer and he is a murderer. He want that the persons appreciate the valour of the life through a evil games.

Saw to make up of seven movies and in all the movies the main character is Jisaw but the minor characters appear and disappear during the movie.

In all movies the persons must try survive to the game and so learn a lesson of life.

This Stories are different and happen in different places. For example in old houses. My favorite parts are when anyone die and when the persons survive to the game and they win the game.

I like this movie because is entertaining and exciting. This movie is malevolent and terrible but    Saw pass on teachings.

I would'n change something of this movie. Definitely, I recommend Saw.

Marco Enrìquez-Ominami.

The person on mi field that I admire is Marco Enrìquez-Ominami.

He is a Chilean politic and member of the political party "Progresista".

Marco was born on 12th of June 1973. This is the year of the military regime of Augusto Pinochet. His father was Miguel Enrìquez (leader of the Movimiento de Izquierda Revolucionaria). His mother was Manuela Gumucio. 

His father was murdered on 1974 and then his mother got married with Carlos Ominami, who is the adoptive father.

He studied philosophy at the University Of Chile and he studied cinema in France too.

On 2002 he produce a documentary named "Chile, los heroes estàn fatigados" and on 2005 he created and chaired the foundation "ChileMedios".

He was Deputy since 2006 until 2010. He was presidential candidate on 2009, in this year Sebastian Piñera became the president of Chile.

On 2003 he married with Karen Doggenweiler Lapunte. They have two daughters, Manuela and Fernanda.

Actually, he work in the political party "Progresista" and he prepare his presidential candidacy to the year 2014.

He like me because Marco is a honest politic and his proposals are in benefit of the common good. He want a better country!

My Favorite Photograph.

This is my favorite Photograph. It was taken in Chiloè and It was taken by a tourist from the place. In this photograph I am with my friends Of my Scout group called Canelo. We traveled to the "Big Island" in the year 2010 and in the moment of the photograph we were in the national park of Chiloè.
I like this photograph because this was the most important trip of my life. 
Since I was little I dreamt to know Chiloè. This is a mistic place, the wonderful landscape and the wildlife is very beautiful. I love the parks, churches, beaches and museums of Chiloè. Besides, this place has a lot of myths and legends, I like this so much!

My Best Friend.

My best friend is My dog, its name is Dodee. It came to my home 2 years ago.

It was a gift from my father. I consider my pet like my best friend because "The dog is the best friend of the man". Besides, my dog is loyal, peaceful and is the guardian of my home. It had always been beautiful and nice. My best memory with it is when Dodee was little and I had to feed. I had to be more careful. When Dodee was little I sleep with it but now it is big, then I can't sleep with it. Actually, I don't have so free time and for this reason I can't to be a lot of time with it. I would like to spend more time with my pet but really I don't have free time.

I'm good with mi dog, I play with it, I go out for walking around my town with it, I go to veterinary for keep it healthy. Besides, I like to do sport with it and I like to fight with my pet.

I Love to Dodee, in fact I'm a "Dog Lover".

My favorite piece of technology.

My favorite piece of technology is my cellphone. Really I don't like the technology but I think that is very important and necessary in the present. I have my cellphone since the year 2008. I was 16 years old and I started to work, I needed a cellphone for call to my friends and to be connected in the modern world. Actually, my cellphone is very necessary for me. I can call to my parents, my friends and my girlfriend. I can play cellphone's games, Listen to music, watch videos, take photos and connect to internet. I use my cellphone usually, in fact I always use it. I like this piece of technology because is a element for to be connected and make my life easier. I don't imagine my life without my cellphone, I can't don't be connected with my friends and with the modern world.

My favorite band.

My favorite band are Los Bunkers. This is a chilean band.The members are Àlvaro, Mauricio Duràn, Mauricio Basualto, Francisco and Gonzalo. The Band exists since 1999. The place of  birth of the band is Concepciòn. The firts album that they  recorded was "Los Bunkers" at the year 2001. The type of music that they play is Rock.
I like this band because the songs are beautiful. The lyrics are about social problems. They sing about politic, love and hope. I listen this band since 2005. I like to see them in concerts. They travel around the country and around the world showing their talent.
My favorite song is "Miño", because is a song about social problems and the melody is very funny.¡ I love Los Bunkers!

Osvaldo Pinochet.

Hello!
My name is Osvaldo Pinochet, I'am 20 years old. I`m studying public administration at the university of Chile in Santiago and this is my second year.
I live in Pudahuel with my mother, my father and my two siblings. We have a dog, his name is Max.
I love my country, Chile is a beautiful place. The nature is wonderful, I like the rivers, lakes, hills and forests. I love the animals too, my favourite animal is the cheeta.
I like the food, my favourite food is meat with chips. Really, I love eat.
The weekend I work in a supermarket, I play Basketball and I meet with my friends.
In my free time I like sleep, listen music, play computer, see movies and read books.
In the future I want to be a public manager, I hope have a family and travel around the world.
